The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari is widely recognized as an extremely technical track, difficult to read, with complex turns and an ideal track. High racing tempo requires professional skill level. The entire circuit and the adjacent buildings were part of the redevelopment and modernization plan, which began in November 2006 and ended in September 2007. It is the work of German architect Hermann Tilke, who specialized in the construction of racing circuits. Nuova Variante Bassa was created in summer 2009 to meet the homologation requirements set by the International Motorcycle Federation. This accessory, designed to neutralize the slightly true characteristics of the car track, is placed in front of the pit lane. In August 2011, asphalt was replaced on most of the track.
